ultimate comfort food -- fried chicken with rice and gravy

to me, the ultimate comfort food is fried chicken with rice and gravy. this is probably the dish that I remember my mom making the most when I was growing up. when my parents got married, they had differing views on the correct side dish to serve with fried chicken. both of my grandfathers were rice farmers, but they felt very differently about eating rice. my mom's father did not want to see or eat rice when he came in from the fields, but my dad's father, wanted my grandmother to use rice in everything she could. well, you can tell who won that argument. comment and let me know if you want me to post the recipe, I just don't have time tonight.
